Title: SYME - Cupar
Post by: Noaky1 on Sunday 28 March 10 18:17 BST (UK)
Hi there,
Can anyone help please?
I'm looking for some help with the Syme line.
I have the following:

Thomas Syme (1824 - 1894) & janet Jeffrey who had the following children:
Catherine Syme 1857 - 1861
Robert Syme 1859 - 1863
William Syme 1860 - 1860
John syme 1861 - ?
Isabella Baird Syme 1863 - 1863
Charles Syme 1865 -
Mary Syme 1867 - 1931
David Chalmers Syme 1868 - ?

I think most of the children that died in infancy died and are buried somewhere in Cupar.
Any help or info would be gratefully received........

I have Thomas Symes parents (above) as Thomas Syme(1808? - 1879) & Christina / Catherine Wilson & his parents as Charles Syme(1783) and Margaret Duncanson and Charles parents as James Syme and Helen Sibbald.

Again any assistance or added info would be great

I also have Mary Syme above (1867) Marrying John Mavor Mason but seems to be known as John Mavor.  I know that Mary had 1 son - Thomas Syme (1892) but I'm struggling to find more info on the Mavors / Masons.

Many thanks in advance.
