Title: Shanks of Mockland

Hi I'm looking for information on Agnes Shanks parents.  She was born 9 Feb 1752.  I know her fathers name is John and her mothers name is Isabel.  I cannot find any information on them or her siblings.  I was hoping someone may know something.

scotlands people show 3 biths/baptisms which i think are relevant to you.:
agnes 16/08/1747, airdrie/new monkland ( probably deceased before your agnes in 1752) and
william 12 dec 1749. airdrie/new monkland
 unfortunately a search doen't reveal their parents marriage

The IGI have your Agnes, her parents and her siblings listed.  Do you have this info?

I think you will also find that John Shanks is also listed and his parents.

There is a John Shanks born New Monkland born about 1710 with parents James and Isobel, which would fit with the first born children of John who were named James and Isobel, probably after their grandparents.
