I am researching Rev Lewis Morris Pease who together with his wife, founded the Five Points Mission in New York City circa 1850. Nowhere can I find his wife's Christian name/names.
I wonder if someone has access to US census returns for New York City 1850 in the hope that it would reveal this information.
Many thanks,
BILL H

1850 census can be seen at http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start
I can't see them there; but on 1880 they appear to be in Asheville, NC. L. M. Pease and wife Ann E.
In 1870 perhaps in Asheville ("Jarvis Peas", minister, wife Anna)
possibly in 1860 they are in Westchester but I can't get the full record.
Anna E. Pease died in Asheville in 1914 (death certificate also at the above link)

If you are still looking for the name of his wife, in the following book, it lists his wife as Ann E Pinney
A genealogical and historical record of the descendants of John Pease, Sen., last of Enfield, Conn. 1869
pm me your email address and I can send the information to you, if interested.

There is also this listing on Ancestry.com. Don't know if there is another Rev. Lewis Pease, but could be a first marriage for Ann, or not even pertinent to your family.
