On a marriage certificate of 1865 in the Liverpool, St Nicholas Parish, is listed what looks like "Calvin Street"as the address of the bride and the groom.
Does anyone know of an online street directory I could check out? (Can't find on google!)
Best wishes,
Ian.

Thanks for that - it must be Calvin Street - just found a posting on another family history forum - Calvin Street, Liverpool still there in 1881!
best wishes,
Ian.

Calvin Street was off 350 Vauxhall Road - so the top end on the right (east). It was 56 yards long and still there in 1938.

Calvin Street Liverpool - I lived there in, I think it must have been 1980 - it had been renamed at sometime, I can't remember if it was from Burdett Street to Calvin or the other way around. There was a three story block of walk up flats and opposite a relatively modern block. It has all gone now to be replaced by modern houses. I actually went for a walk around there the other week, but I was unable to locate it as the streets have change so much. However, I don't think it was far from Sylvester Street.
