The family information is on your other topic,
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,444704.0.html
There are no specific sites for BMDs in Germany, as there is not much online at all.
In general, you need to know the exact town or religious parish so you can apply to a specific Registry Ofiice or Church Diocese records office.
See Topic: Sharing Useful Tips: GERMANY and E. Europe
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,11860.30.html
for some tips.
Be aware, that the name in Germany may have been Westphal, Westphel, Westpfehl, Westphels, or other variations
Good luck,
Bob

That look very much like a cut n paste of a post I made on your other thread!
If you look at, I think it was 1871 but may have been 1881 census, there are some other Westphals around, bn Germany, and I think gave a placename. They may (or may not) br related to Fredk and give you a clue. I spotted them when fiddling around on the other thread, but then found the marriage we were looking for so didnt pursue.

I was looking for any German info on the British subjects
If we are looking at a variant of Westphal then we are in trouble!
The background info was just background info to know more of the story and the marriage details were more or less a cut and paste from info provided by Lizdb
You never know the plumber might take a little off his next bill when ever that is ;D

Hi Bryant
I'm also looking at the Westpfels, in fact I'm in charge of the Westpfel One-Name Study over at the Guild of One-Name Studies! I have censuses, certificates and photographs amongst other things!
I was wondering if a. we'd already spoken before, and b. if we haven't if you'd like to!
A Westpfel is my great grandmother, and I am in contact with a lot of Westpfel family.
What's your interest/connection?
