I am trying to find the death record of my grandmother Margaret Bowe nee Dooley. She is in the 1911 census for Clontarf East Dublin. Her husband Michael remarried in 1915,I have his marriage certificate to Margaret Quinlan on april .12.1915.My father believed she died 1912.I have applied to the general register office for death certificate but they say there is no record found between 1909 -1917.I have searched all cemetery records that are online but to no avail.Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

is this Margaret and her family on the census ? Bowe family, St. Laurence Road (http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Clontarf_East/St__Laurence_Road/4163/)
I see only 4 deaths of a Margaret Bowe in Dublin around the right time on the Irish Civil BMD index (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable) - but none of the ages/year of birth fit this Margaret... (c1878)

I see that they're connected with Birmingham - could she have died there?
Though I don't see anything on FreeBMD ...

Perhaps surname is mis-transcribed in the index which will make ot very difficult to locate.

Thanks for these responces.
Yes this is the family in St laurence road, and they did spend time in Birmingham but like you I found no evidence in British bmd.
My father remembered saying goodbye to her before going to school in Dublin c.1912 and then never seeing her again.
She is not buried in the family plot either.
If the name is mistransscribed I do stand little chance.
I am going to apply for a death certificate for the Margaret Mary Bowe(Sorry, I did omit to say her middle name was Mary)listed in the civil registration index for 1911 on the assumption the age at death could have been mistranscribed(is this possible).
Thanks again for all your efforts.

I think that 1911 death record could fit - it's in the right district, and in the last quarter of the year, so after the census and very close to 1912.
I dont think the year could be easily transcribed as there are separate index books (the familysearch index is based on these) for each year - so all the entries in a particular would have the same year. ... but anything's possible
sorry it's the age you asked about, not the year... I suppose it's possible that the age was mis-read...
