I have tried all the book sites on the net and have not been able to locate a place where I can purchase a copy of this Carlow book. Any leads you can suggest would be most helpful.
Kind regards.

Hi Tom, My name is Julia Kirwan, and my husband Steve is related to your sister Margaret's husband, Eamon. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Eamon and Margaret, and came away with a copy of The Wexford War Dead, which I have found absolutely fascinating although also very very sad.
I'm very interested in family history, and my mother and I have traced our relatives back to the 16th century here in England. Margaret and Eamon were really helpful with filling in some gaps on the Irish family tree, and I've just written to Margaret again, to ask more questions! I wish she did computers - email would be so much easier than snail mail!
Thanks to the biopics etc I've found about you and your family, I can now add another branch to the tree!
Congratulations again on the book - a fantastic achievement - what's next?
Kind regards
Julia Kirwan

Hello Julia.
There are only five more books in me and then its living history and re-enactment for me into retirement. Glad to hear you liked the Wexford book, we enjoyed compiling it. Margaret is no good at computers but if she started it she would love it I am sure.
Kind regards.

Hi there,
I believe the book you are looking for "Follow Them up from Carlow" was written by Paul Maguire.
Paul still lives in Carlow and is very involved with the Carlow Military Museum on the Athy Road. Carlow Tourist Office (059/9131554) will have details of the museum and may have a contact number for Paul. The tourist office also have a bookshop and may have a copy of this book for sale. Alternatively, the Carlow Library is about 30 metres away on Tullow Street, and they are very helpful in tracing older books and may be able to give you some advice on securing a copy. Hope this of some help. I know my mum had a copy of the book years ago and it is a great read. Good luck with your search
