Sadly no i don't know where James Michael Austin Courtenay was born in Ireland, i only have him on 1841  & 1851 census stating Ireland,he died in 1858 in Brighton.
the Austin part of his name carries on through the family to present day.
He and his wife only have one son John Kell(e)y Courtenay born c1830 which would make his mother approx 19 when he was born, she pre-deseaced her husband,so i am assuming i am looking for a marriage in Ireland  some where between 1825-1830,as i can find no trace in London and surrounding areas.

Hi and welcome to RootsChat.

Unfortunately all the dates you mention are pre-Civil Registration !845-1864 so you need to consult Church records if they still exist.

In order to do that you need to know, as a minimum, the Parish and County they came from.

One way you might get an indication of where to look would be to trace any known siblings of James and Mary to see if they gave a better description of where they came from.

Also, check out the very helpful guides on the Resources page. Click on the Historical mCounties link at the top of the page to find them.
