Thought you might like to see some results of my many many years of research. Also with the hope that someone may get something of interest out of it, and perhaps add to it. I know researching can be a a big pain, but you get great satisfaction when it all begins to add up. Hi,
I'm afraid I have no idea if our Doyles were related. This is my brick wall. I am at a standstill with my Grandfather Thomas Doyle's side of the family. Many years ago I asked an old lady who was my father's first cosies if she could help my find my Great grandfather. She said she would tell me something if I promised I would not say anything to the rest of the family "unless they asked me" I kept my promise and unfortunately it is now too late as all the senior members of daddy's family have passed away, and the present ones dint know anything.
Her information to me was that "my grandfather was adopted and came from The Blue Coat School in Dublin. If anyone knows anything about the records of this school, I would be very grateful. Unfortunately there is no paper work to tell me anything now, or who his parents were.
My Grandfather, I am convinced did not know his date of birth. On his marriage cert he is described as a 'minor' under 18 or 21? Have searched for a birth from 1864 with no luck, what was his real surname?
married Sept 1894 in Wicklow. 'Minor = under 21' perhaps bc 1870/3 ? under 18 bc 1876
c 1901, he was age 27 [bc1874] : c 1911, he was age 35yr [bc 76]
1943, Death cert he was age 69 yr [bc 1874]
On c 1911 his parents state, they were married 40 yrs "no" children born & no children living

Hi Amy,
My grandmother was their bridesmaid. Your grandmother was married on her 21st birthday. Info from my Aunt Cissie. I'm sure you now know who I am!
