I am looking to find the linkages among the Cutts families that I have found at these two places. The earliest Cutts I have is Mark Cutts of much Waltham, whose will was made in 1693 and probated in 1696. He had a wife, Ann, but apparently no surviving children as the estate is left to his nephew, Thomas, son of his brother Walter. I have found a Thomas Cutts, of Mountnessing, who, with his wife Mary, has several children between 1702 an 1715. There is also a Henry and Ann at Mountnessing who have children 1708 to 1723.
The next family, also of Mountnessing is that of a Mark Cutts and Mary who have childen 1731 to 1738. This family is linked to me through his daughter, Honor, who married Thomas Whitcomb and who is my 6Xgreat grandmother.
There may of course be no link, but I think the reoccurence of the name Mark within the family and later families is an indicator of some sort of link.
Thankyou for any help at all!

Mountnessing parish records are on Essexseax for births and marriages for this time period. Don't know if you have used this to get your info.

Honor's elder brother, Thomas Cutts (born in Mountnessing c1731) is my g-g-g-g grandfather. He married Mary Boltwood (born in Great Waltham c1730). Thomas's grandson was another Mark Cutts (born in East Thorpe, 1816, died in Lambeth c1891).
