I'm not sure what names or approximate dates you are looking for but all I can find for Varney are:
Robert Varney, date of conviction:26 Apr 1830; voyage departure:15 Oct 1830;place of conviction:York, Yorkshire; ship: Lady Harewood. 7 year conviction. Place of Conviction: Leeds borough
Thomas Varney 14 Jan, 1835; 24 Apr 1835; York, Yorkshire; Ship: Mangles; Place of conviction: West Riding.
The Brown surname is more difficult as there are so many names. Can you give any names and would West Riding be the place of conviction. [It doesn't give Hull at all]
