HI,
I'm looking for a baptism of William Turner in or about Reading circa 1741, and a marriage, possibly Reading, between William Turner and Ann, about 1767. They lived in Caversham and began baptizing children in Dec 1769, but there's no marriage in Oxford. (typo has no been corrected)
Thanks for the help!!!

I was going to have a look in the incomplete Oxfordshire Baptism Index 1538-1851 - more details from http://searches.oxfordshirefhs.org.uk/ - for you to see if I could help on this one.
Before I do, please check your dates - we seem to have a typo in there !
Best wishes.

Oops :-[
Yes, that's a typo. Thanks for pointing it out Paul. William and Ann baptized their son William in Caversham in Dec 1769. I'll change it in the first message.
Thanks for taking a look around for me Paul, I really appreciate the help :-) I've seen in some public trees that a few people think this William married Ann Bennet (nee Humphries) in Buford on 23 May 1767. However I don't think that's my couple, because they seemed to have stayed in Buford and were baptizing children at the very same time my William and Ann were baptizing theirs in Caversham.
Thanks again for the help Paul :) :)

Richard 11 Aug 1776
Hannah 17 April 1780
John 23 Oct 1782

Thanks Mandy,
William and Ann also had William, bp 21 Dec 1769 and Sarah bp 25 Aug 1771, both in Caversham.
Still can't find their marriage anywhere though :-(
Thanks for looking :-)
Cheers,
Claire
