Can anybody give me the addresses of Turriff and Gamrie St John Churchyards. All I can find is a photo of Turriff the church is a ruin. I've tried Multimap and Google Earth just getting the places.
Thanks.

Hi
Googling "gamrie st john" without the quotes comes up with a number of interesting links regarding this churchyard and church - and the surrounding area.
Haven't been able to find an address as yet for St John's although Gamrie ceased to be a parish in 1975 with the boundary re-allocations, for Turriff I've come up with St Ninian's, Gladstone Terrace, Turriff, Aberdeenshire, AB53 4AT - 01888 560282.
Hope that helps

Thanks will look into that.

There are 2 cemeteries in Turriff, one at the old Churchyard and the other is on Balmellie Road.
The churchyard one stones are listed on the www.adnet.co.uk/mi-index/
Gamrie St John Cemetery is set above Gamrie or Gardenstown as it is also know high up on the side of the hill over looking Gamrie Bay.
If use www.streetmap.co.uk and enter Gardenstown you should see it on the map.
Hope this helps.
