Hi All,

I am looking for the marriage and death of Richard Henry Mortimer Pride born in 1927 in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England,  In 1954 in was in Queensland.  Said to have married Merleine? in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

I found this on a well-known commercial ancestry site:

Name:     Richard H M Pride
Age:    32
Birth Date:    abt 1927
Death Date:    Aug 1959
Cemetery:    Point Clare
Section:    Presbyterian
Cemetery Location:    Point Clare, New South Wales

Not Queensland or NT but there can't be too many Prides with those initials.

It happens to be just up the road from me - would you like me to have a look?

There's a site with with what looks like a comprehensive coverage of transcriptions from the Point Clare Cemetery, but there's no Pride on the list:

But there is an entry in the register of unmarked graves which shows

Pride, Richard Henry M, date of interment 15 Aug 1959, row 1, grave 30

He also appears on the Electoral Roll for Southport, Qld in 1954 - there's no Mrs Pride on the roll.

Hi Ros,
Richard Pride is my grand father, my mother's father.
He married Merleine Janice Buie in 1956 and had two children the first was a daughter Margaret then a son Robert. Both are deceased now. Margaret had four children I'm the youngest. Robert had two. I'm happy to give anymore info that i can if you want to know.
