Title: R W Cl occupation
Post by: Waiwera on Thursday 25 February 10 05:46 GMT (UK)
11 Irishmen living at the same address in Springburn, Glasgow in 1841 all had the same occupation W R Cl. Any ideas what their work was?

Thanks

Did you mean "R W Cl," or "W R Cl" which is what you typed in the body of your message? If the former, it could be Railway Clerk.

Sorry I transposed 2 letters It is R W Cl. The address could have been a hostel for railway staff I suppose.

Thanks for the idea
