Has anyone any information as to the whereabouts of:
Sarah Ann Lidstone (nee Jarvis, born Malborough, Devon, about 1820) between 1853 (Malborough) and 1901 (Blackawton, Devon).
Her husband, Andrew Rennell Lidstone, sailed to Australia in 1855, leaving the family behind:
or of her daughter Mary Dora Lidstone (born Malborough 1853), between the years 1881 (Kingsbridge Workhouse) and 1896.
She married Robert Tucker at Totnes, Devon, in 1896, and gave her details as 'Mary Dora Dolton widow' though there is no record of her marrying in England and Wales before 1896.

Hi,
I have some details of things which might tie in somewhere, but not directly.
I have a William Lidstone (~1794, South Milton) who married Betsey Moore (b1801)
Children Elizabeth (twice, both died less than 1), Richard (~1827), Joseph (1832, died at 1), Mary Jane (1834-1934 !!), JARVIS Lidstone (~1838), Henry (~1842-1921) m. Susan, and Jane (~1843).
Note the christian name Jarvis. I have about 50 Jarvis people in the tree.
I have a lot of info on Moores and also have a Sarah Jarvis (1822),Salcombe who marries Patrick Brown.
If anything rings a bell let me know.

John Rennell LIDSTONE, widower, married Elizabeth JARVIS, spinster, April 1857 - could this have been brother & sister of Andrew & Sarah Ann?
-
Yes, John Rennell Lidstone was Andrew's brother. He originally married Mary Pilditch at South Milton in 1846. She died and he later married Elizabeth. John and Elizabeth farmed at Newhouse, Malborough, and are both buried in Malborough churchyard.
However, this doesn't help re the whereabouts of Andrews wife, Sarah Ann and his daughter, Mary Dora.
