Dear Don
I am researching my family history and one set of my 5th gr grandparents are Elizabeth Rhodes and John Green. Both were born in 1752 in Thornton Horncastle.
I wonder f she is from the de Rhodes you mention? Do you have more info on your family?

I assume you have already seen these registers - a bit later starting 1559 and in Latin with scratchy writing - so hard work. http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=708979&iid=128045
Also this fb: https://www.facebook.com/groups/horncastlememories
And I assume you have seen this too: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/30358/30358-h/30358-h.htm#page11
I guess my Rhodes - who married in to a humble hearth may not have been from the noble family BUT on the otherhand it could have been be a Tess of the D'Urbervilles situation.
