Title: 11 base raf sandtoft

i`m trying to find anyone or any info on 11 base at RAF sandtoft upto sept 1944. i`m researching my g/uncle who was based there before he was posted to 625 sqdn on the first of sept. he was trained as a bomb aimer. his name was ronald george evans. any info would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
persevere with the link that Pete posted , at http://www.raf-lincolnshire.info/bombercommand/bombercmd.htm you will find an explanation of the Base system and further down the page (1 Group) you will see the airfields grouped in the administrative unit that was 11 Base
