Hi Paul
My great grandfather was James behan, and yes he lived in dicksons row, then moved about for a bit. My Grandfather was Joseph Behan.
Can you tell me who your grandfather is, i have gathered a fair amount of info on some, and hit some very large brick walls on others.
would be great to hear back from you, its been a tricky family to trace.

good to hear from you michelle
yes my granddad is noel beahan son of james( jr )leo behan.he married a girl called mary augusta stanley havent got much info her.i think they lived in domnic street for about 10 years then moved to bannow rd cabra he died in 84 and she died in 85.
according to my uncle(noels son)he said jamess dad was called james"jimmy" behan and his wifes name was ann behan.i havent hot a date of birth of james jr but do have a mass card with his age and date he died so done the maths so i reckon he would be 6 or 7 and his parents were who i said they were...im nearly sure this is the same behan family we are talking about???look forward to talking to you again...

Hi Paul
My James was indeed married to an "Annie".
But the james jnr that i have listed died in 1955. and James senior died in 1942, he is buried in Deansgrange, near my grandfather Joseph.
Does this ring any bells. There were 7 children in the family of james and annie that i have found.

Hi Paul
I am attaching a headstone, from my family, which lists the james junior as buried here.
I hope there is still a connection, as there were not that many behan familes in Dublin.
My Ggf was a butcher later in life, if that helps any
I have not been able to find james and annies marriage, so i cannot confirm her maiden name as yet, still looking
Regards

Hi Paul
