RG10 piece 653 folio 80 page 19
There's a August William Merrill age 37, printer compositer, b Middlesex City of London but his wife is Ellen Maria age 26 b Middlesex, Westminster.
Kids Marian Louisa aged 4
Elizabeth Emma 7 months both born Surrey Lambeth

Thanks for that Jonquill.
Perhaps Ellen Maria died before 1881. Or there are two Augustus. One b.1834 and one born 1844.
Anyway it gives me something to work with and I appreciate your help.
Cheers

I checked the age again - Ancestry has transcribed it 27 so dob 1844 and name Marvill (I used Findmypast to find it originally) - there is enumerators mark through the age so I may be wrong about it being 37.
Maybe get second opinion from other listers?

Could it just be a mistake and it should have read 30th Oct 1843.
If you buy the birth certificate and his birth date is 30th Oct. I think I would say these are one and the same.

Thank you ALL so much for your help. I'm starting to see a pattern emerging.
Hopefully with a certificate or two I'll learn who Jemima was.
Thanks again
