This was an 'extra' bit on the baptism of Donald Macdonald
can anyone decipher any of the words
-
A clearer scan would help.

hi jamjar
sorry that was how I got it from the Scotland people site
:(
-
I've tried to enhance it a little but it's still a bad copy
-
Did you save it as a JPEG, when you downloaded it?
If not you may like to do so. It won't cost you anything.

Karen, sometimes the imageing at SP goes slightly awry ::)
If all else fails, you can always contact SP and ask them for an enhanced image for any section you are having a problem with. They are very good at responding to this type of query and will send via email a better image.

Hi Lochee
Welcome to RootsChat :)
I think it is the bottom two lines on the page, the note, that Karen is struggling with (as are all of us at present!).

I think it starts:
The above were single still at their proper ?? but since afterwards to ?? the ? on 8th ...
Impossible to read the second line though!
-
Just a thought. Given Donald's birth shows on the 7 June on this parish entry, could the note simply be a correction on this date to the 8th?
This looks to be the birth entry on the statutory register:
DONALD MC DONALD Birth: 08 JUN 1857 Aharacle, Argyll
Parents: ALLAN MC DONALD and SALLY MACPHERSON
But other than seeing the date 8th as AR mentions, the rest of it is double dutch to me :P
