I have just found your request for info about Ted Shanagher and his marriage to Gladys Gardner on the web and so have signed on to Rootschat. Gladys was my great aunt, as she was the sister to my grandfather. I have almost no info on Ted at all, but I remember him as a very kind uncle. I have original certificates of their marriage and their deaths. Cathrync

Tomby I know it's been a while since you posted your original query, but do you know about the website Free BMD where you could have checked these entries for yourself?

Cathyrn,Welcome to Rootschat.
Tomby hasn't been online for exactly a year ;D ,last time was 29th April 2012.
Hopefully if he hasn't changed his email address he will be notified that we have both posted here and he'll come back online to check out the posts.

dear Carol and Cathyrn,
Thank you both for your replies.
I am aware of the bmd site and have already found and received the marriage records i was seeking.
Cathyrn, i would be interested in contacting you on your information through email. I think you have to post 3 times on rootschat before you can use the pm service.
I only met Glady's once along time ago. Edward ( Ted ) was my grandfather.
