Hi.
According to a Parent search on the IGI, part of www.familysearch.org the Robert Armstrong, son of Robert and Mary Thompson, was born on 4 May 1867 in Belfast. Robert and Mary were married in Derriaghy Church of Ireland, Lisburn District.

Regards

Any info I have came from the 1911 census. It would make sense that they were married in Derriaghy church as that is where Robert & Sarah are buried, unfortunately their headstone was removed some years ago by one of their daughter's in law (who is now buried in the same grave) and I can't trace it.
Is there a place for old headstones?

I am planning to check the church records the next time I am home (live in England).

Thanks for your replys

The best person to ask about old headstones might be the sexton- our local Church of Ireland threw many of the older ones over the churchyard wall into the river but you may be more fortunate.
