Hi Boomer.
James Moore married Jane Girvin on the 21 August 1851 in Ballycarry Non Subscribing Presbyterian Church, in the Parish of Templecorran, civil district of Larne.
I had a search for children to the couple without any luck.
Regards,
Dixie
PS. Contact the church with regards to children, as civil registration of births did not start until 1864.

Hi,
Wondered did you find anything more out about James Moore and Jane Girvin? According to Familysearch org his father was called Samuel and Jane's father was called Thomas.
My g g grandfather was a Samuel Moore from around that part of Co. Antrim (b 1851/2) and his father and mother were James and Jane. Samuel's children were born in Raloo, not far away. I know that 'my' James and Jane are buried at Raloo old churchyard (through links with the Bell family in the 1911 census)
Inscription: Erected by James Bell, Larne, in memory of his daughter Jane who died 7th March 1888, aged 10 months, and his son Thomas who died 4th August 1889, aged 2 months, also his mother in law Jane Moore, who died November 1885, aged 54 years, also her husband James Moore who died February 1907, aged 70 years.
If you have a definite link to James and Jane, it looks like your James born 1853 was a younger brother of Samuel. I know that Samuel was born in 1851/2 and when he married in 1875 he was a shoemaker as was James, his father. On the marriage record of James and Jane Girvin, James is a shoemaker, so I'm fairly certain it's the same family.
