Title: Three Horse Shoes, Catterick
Post by: Bob17 on Tuesday 09 February 10 20:58 GMT (UK)
Would anyone be able to help with this please.

In the 1881 census William Cartwright was the licensee of The Three Horse Shoes in Catterick.  I cannot find any trace of it still operating.  Does anyone know if the building still exists, its location, or anything at all about it.

Many thanks.

Hi,

There is a mention of your Three Horseshoes in the 1890 Bulmer's Directory when it is described as a beerhouse with J Cartwright as licensee.
