Judy,
Which do you want to know, Epworth or the school? Epworth is in North Lincolnshire, it's part of the isle of Axeholme, an area of Lincolnshire that stretches west from the River Trent towards the border with South Yorkshire. If you go to Ordnance Survey, Geta Map, and put in Epworth, all will be revealed. Another way you might look for is Genuki Lincolnshire, then Epworth.

There was a National school, it's mentioned by the Hull Packet Newspaper in 1846, when the school has its annual treat, joined by those who went on Sundays only. The same newspaper also mentions the Baptist school and Wesleyan Day schools and Methodist new Connection school and something called a Free school. I am not sure what "free" means, free from charge maybe, or was the religion taught there ecumenical?
There was a school board, and the newspaper mentions parents who were fined for not sending their children to the Board school.
There is no mention the name of the school in Epworth, if it was the National school, weren't they run by the Anglican church, so most likely called St Andrew's as the parish church was of the same name.
You might look at this site, perhaps contact the webmaster: http://www.axholme-fhs.org.uk/epworth.html
