Trying to find when Phillip and possibly his elder brother Ernest came to Sydney Australia early 1900. Phillip was about 18-20 years old. Their father John had died and the family has been split apart. I have been searching for a long time and can't find when they left. I have found quite a few ships with Richardson's as crews but the brothers not on the same ships, and I'm sure big brother would be looking after him. Phillip left Australia sometime before 1911 as he got married in NZ to Jessie May Duck and came back to Australia before 1918 to live.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Judy

do you know when Ernest was born? Are there any more brothers/sisters?

Hi Judy,
This looks like his birth:
Dec 1883
Richardson Philip Henry Northallerton 9d 639
I can't help with any of the emigration but it might help people look for him...Hope you find some answers.

Hi Annie 24B,
Ernest was born 1878 West Appleton, Yorkshire
Alice was born 1879
David was born 1879 (twins)
William was born 1880
Phillip Henry born 1883 and he died 1961 Sydney. Australia
I don't know if Ernest went back to England to live after Phillip went to N.Z. for about 8 years.
Thanaks

In 1891 Phillip age 7 is down as grandson of Jane Phillips (age 73, widow)age 7 in Masham, Burton upon Ure
and his mother Christina and William are in Richmond - but she is down as married, not widowed. do you know when John died?
