Hi Lime
I noticed you are offering a look-up for Crimea War medals.
I just found out today that my great grandfather, who became a pensioner from the 4th Light Dragoons in 1851, joined up again to go to the Crimean War. That explains why he was collecting his pension in Turkey!
His name was Patrick COUGHLAN/CAUGHLIN and variants. I don't think he joined up with the 4th Light Dragoons again, but I could be wrong. Hopefully it isn't too common a name to search.
Many thanks for any help you can give.

No Patrick Caughlin/Coughlin served in the Light Brigade (which includes the 4th Light Dragoons) during the Crimean War . . . nor could I find his name listed with any of the regiments of the Heavy Brigade.

Hi usartillery
It was very kind of you to check that for me as it will save me lots of time searching. I made a list of all the regiments at the Crimea yesterday and it's an awful lot longer than I had hoped. At least I only have to look at the regiments of Foot now!
Many thanks indeed for your help.
Regards,
Diana
