Title: gran's brother *COMPLETED*

Hi everyone
with a name like Royston Samper Macdonnell you would think it easy to find if he ever married.
I know he died in 1950 in Auckland but would love if he had a wife and children.   any help most thankful for

He is buried at Waitakere Cemetery

Only other reference I can see for him maybe is as an actor in ad for a play on Papers Past ;D

I did look at all the female M(a)cDonnells at that cemetery and none with the same plot, though several creamated.

Hi Lucy he was born in Australia 30-08-1884 not sure when he went to N.Z
His father died between 1893 AND 1902 which is when his mother remarried.
I thought he might have left then he would have been 18 maybe didn't like his mother to remarry


and hi aniph could you give me a little more info about those papers past

Reason I asked birthplace was, it might be that if he married, he may have done so in Australia, before coming to NZ.   ???

Perhaps the headstone (if there's one), may reveal something ?

I can see his birth in NSW but no marriage for him

Hi so happy to have any leads, seeing his name in the adds for the theatre has given me another clue.      He would have been 44 when this show was on so it seems he must have had a career in theatre.    I may even be able to find a picture of him.  It also lets me know that he was in N.Z in 1928.

Looks like there are def other researchers for this family as someone has submitted his death certificate to NZSG collection

Hi Althea is that N.Z society of genealogists and could that have happened because I got his death certificate last year or does someone have to actually give it to them.
