- if you look here there is a Hannah Lawton, 15, in the 1891 census, in Rainham, Haldimand, Ontario. She is b. England, a domestic servant in the house of a farmer.

If you use the Quebec City Passenger Lists you can find their arrival in Canada in 1883 on the Sardinian.

1901 and 1911 census are available free at this site.
What were the parents names in case there is a marriage registered.

Looks like Hannah married Byron Gee (Allan B. Gee). They are together on the 1901 census in Rainham, Haldimand, Ontario.

There are three children with them. Only the youngest one is the child of Hannah. Also, his name is not Basil, it is Herbert Russell J Gee. On the census it is written as Rusel, which was mis-transcribed as Basil. He was born 13 Nov 1900 in Haldimand, registered as the son of Byron Gee and Annie Lawton.
Byron was previously married to Catherine Anderson, who was the mother of the other children.
I haven't found a marriage for Hannah and Byron though.

There is a Sarah Lotten in Oxford County Ontario in 1891. Date and place of birth match (1873 England). She is a domestic.
Also, there was a Sarah Lawton who sailed from Quebec to Liverpool on the Vancouver arriving 4 Sep 1894. No age or other details listed though.

Hello Wendoree
I'm the grand-daughter of Sarah LAWTON - she married Alfred Griffiths, and I am the youngest daughter of their son Herbert. Yes, you are correct, Sarah & Hannah did have a brother Herbert, whom my father was named after.
Please do contact me if you are still intersted in this family as I have a lot of information. I've also sent you another message explaining a little more. I live not far from where Sarah was born and have current family contacts and photos, as well as ancestry info.
Warm regards, Carole
