Hi

I am looking for ANY details on an Amelia Green from Suffolk. I don't have any idea of her birth date, just that she married Joseph Good (1827-1894) in 1851. The Marriage Index says the marriage was registered in Lexden, Essex in Q4 1851.

She is named as the mother of my ancestor, Mary Amelia Adelaide Good, on her birth certificate in 1852, and had two other children in 1854 and 1856. She is not on the 1861 census with the rest of the family, so I believe she had died by then (or maybe a divorce?).

The Good family are all from Bures St Mary, Suffolk, so I figured she would be from the area, but their residence was Colchester, Essex in 1961, and Mary was born in Great Horkesley.

Can anyone help?

The 1851 Census shows there was an Amelia Green bc.1830 Great Horkesley, dau. of a John Green.    She and various siblings are living in Great Horkesley.

Looks a good possibility.
