Title: Bartley of Shepton Mallet or Bridgwater

Hi,

one of my elusives is an Alexander George BARTLEY, depending on which census, he was born either 1828 Bridgwater or 1830 Shepton Mallett, I know nothing else apart from he had sons Alexander in 1858 London, then Joseph 1859 Northampton and Henry 1865 Birmingham, his first wife died before 1871 but I do not have her name.  Is Shepton Mallett and Bridgwater close enough to be classed as the same place as one got older?

They are about 20 miles apart with Glastonbury in between. I don't know ???
