I have after seven years of searching by ordering certificates, having searches conducted at the Records Office, newpaper cuttings of Funeral, and looking all over the world etc....found him ;D ;D ;D
.
I am proud to announce that:
Richard Eddy 1871 of Trewellard , his parents were Richard Eddy and Sarah Trembath of Trewellard IS my ggrandfather ;D
The evidence has been found in a Family Bible, still in the hands of that family. The marriage is noted by date and place , but not the brides name, it matches the certificate I hold.
It is not clear as to why every other bit of evidence appears to rule out this Richard Eddy being married, the Will and full list of Mourners do not mention a wife or children at all. :'( ....things happen in families that we will never have the answer to ???
I can't link this to the Threads about him over the years...but am grateful to the people that tried to help me. and hopefully this Thread will help others who are looking for him.

Wow ambers at long last! :)
I am so pleased that you have finally solved this. Everything pointed to him having those parents (from my recollections) but the evidence was contradictory I think?

Hi Barbara :)
Yes, at long last we have proof. ;D
I can't think what happened in my family for a wife and children to be left out of the Will and not mentioned as Mourners at the Funeral....must have been a really bad rift.
I can't thank you enough for all the help you gave me in trying to solve this problem on here, and behind the scenes. :-*
Finding a Family Bible is the best evidence, just goes to show however much money we spend, it doesn't always solve the problem.

It was worth the many years of re-search, I have so many photographs of the families and a Will now.
I have even connected to two live cousins since. ;D, one in this Country, the other in South Africa. :o
So my Links are:
