I am trying to find information re Rowland Oswald HILL b1896 Needham Market , Suffolk.
I can trace him in the 1901 (Creeting St Mary) and 1911(Foxall Road , Ipswich) census and have a copy of his marriage cert when he married my Gt Aunt Violet Mary CROSS in Tuddenham 10 Oct 1919.
His occupation is stated to be Sergeant R F A ( Royal field Artillery).
I cannot trace any military record apart from a possibility that his regt number is 876288 and his rank = Acting Sergeant.
If there is anyone who is a member of the HILL / CROSS family who can throw any light on what happened to Rowland and Violet after they married including any children , I would be eternally grateful.
