Chadderton is in Lancs. It borders Moston,Manchester/Failsworth and Oldham.
St Johns is Cof E and quite near to Failsworth Pole and if I remember correctly had an attractive lych gate.

Hi Dawn,

My grandmothers family were from Failsworth and I have also founf some marriages etc. which took place at St Johns and have people buried at Chadderton. Failsworth, my cousin still lives there,  and Chadderton border each other and are usually in the Oldham district, between Oldham and Manchester.
I have been unable to find any records on-line from these churches but if you put failsworth into a search engine such as Google there are a couple of sites that have pictures of the area.

cheers
Wendy

Hi Dawn

Oldham Local Studies and Archives, hold registers for St John Failsworth,  they have the burial register on microfiche with index for 1846 - 1976.

I will be going there next saturday and will look them up for you if you like, if you can let me know names and approximate dates i will see what i can find.

Sal
