Just found out why I couldn't find the "reply" button. I wasn't logged in! I seem to be jinxed on this.
However, I am interested in the Gregory family. I start with Duncan Gregory (my 4 x great grandfather and go down to Mildred Mary Turner Gregory, my grandmother. She was born in Bilton, Gloucestershire.
I would be very interested to learn anything about the Gregorys.

Hello Sally,
Welcome to the best place there is.
Found your way here at last! I was begining to give up hope!
So Duncan, our common ancestor is your 4 X gr grandfather as well - hello cousin.
Duncan and Jane's children were :-
Jane bap. 7/10/1781 Stroud; bur. Stonehouse 8/7/1782
Jane bap. 19/10/1783 Stroud - see later.
Elizabeth bap.Stonehouse 26/3/1786
Hester bap. Stonehouse 22/6/1788
John bap. Stonehouse 28/11/1790
Thomas bap. Stonehouse 23/3/1793 bur. Stonehouse 15/4/1795
James bap. Stonehouse 18/5/1794
Sarah bap. Stonehouse 15/10/1797 bur. Stonehouse 5/5/1799
Charles bap. Stonehouse 23/3/1800
Anne bap. Stonehouse 18/07/1802 bur. Stonehouse ??/10/1803
Jane married Charles Pinnegar in Stonehouse on 4/12/1803; they are my 3 X gr grandparents.
I have been unable to find Duncan's baptism.
Jane Gabb was baptized in Stonehouse on Nov ? (church record not very clear) 1758. her parents were Richard & Margaret Gabb who had been married in Stonehouse on Feb 16 1746 (old style i.e. 1747). Margaret's maiden name was Waine.
Duncan was buried at Stonehouse on Dec 19 1809; I have searched the Stonehouse BT's and PR's but as they only go as far as 1812, Duncan's wife Jane must have been buried later or elsewhere.
I only seek direct ancestors and their siblings but when all the avenues of that research are exhausted, I'll start on side branches. Just done a rough count of my direct ancestors that I've verified or had verified by searches of church records - 125 grandparents of one sort or another and the latest was found last week!
Is there anything else I can help with?
Regards
Chas
P.S.
Search for Gabb in batch number C036312 at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyGloucester_(N-Z).htm#S where you will find Jane Gabb's probable siblings or at least, children with the same parents' names.
P.P.S. the batch also gives a Mary Gregory baptism but has no father's christian name - I verified that on the BT's - LDS Film given as Source Call No.
