Hi Larky,
Can't help with Hollywoods (yet), but I can tell you where Clachan of Campsie Churchyard is ....... (near Lennoxtown)
Go to Multimap (U.K.) and key in the map reference NS613788.
It sits just off the A891 at the junction of Strathblane Road and Glen Road. Zoom in on the map until you see Knowehead Road and Crosshouse Road, then click 'Aerial View', zoom right in and you'll see the Churchyard.
To my knowledge, the Churchyard has been closed for burials for years.

Hello Larky.
My Grandmother was Frances Mabel Hollywood who married John Murphy.
Both were from Ireland & both died in Glasgow Scotland.
I have looked in my tree for John Hollywood & Helen Hollywood, unfortunately there not there. If you have any other names & information I could check to see if their in my tree. The furthest I go back to is my GGGrandfather abt 1842 Belfast Ireland. Maybe Helen or John could be a branch off my Hollywoods.
I'm happy to share information with you if I have your Hollywoods in my tree.
Cheers, Phyllis

I have a copy of Mitchell's pre-1855 MI's for West Stirlingshire which includes Clachan of Campsie Churchyard (although it's listed as just Campsie Churchyard)
When the survey was carried out, they found 2 stones bearing the name Hollywood:
1. William Hollywood and Rebecca Griffeth his wife.
2. 1857 John Hollywood & Heirs (1857 might represent when the lair was purchased or a year of death of one of the family)
There's no further info listed so that's the extent of what will be on the inscriptions. I believe the survey was carried out in the 1960's or early 1970's, so whether these stones are still visible/legible, I don't know.
I also looked in Lennoxtown & Strathblane Churchyard but there were no Hollywoods listed in either. This doesn't mean there were no Hollywoods buried in any of them, simply that there was no stone/existing stone.
The book states that there are Burial Records held with the Registrar General: Deaths 1732-33, 1785-86 and 1817-54, so it might be worth your while searching the OPR deaths for Campsie on Scotland's People.

My pleasure!
According to a wee sketch in the same book, both stones sit in the same row.
On entering the churchyard (there's only one entrance), follow the line of stones immediately to your right (or 7 rows in from the right perimiter wall) and they should be about two thirds of the way along. The sketch indicates that William Holywood & Rebecca Griffeth's stone should be almost in line with the back corner of the church ruin. The other one is described as 'small', which probably means there's only about 6/12 inches showing above ground and it's position is further towards the back wall.
This is obviously only a rough guide - it's pretty much neglected these days and hopefully, you'll be able to find at least one if not both stones.
Good Luck - remember to let us know how you get on!
Anne
P.S. Even if you don't find the stones, at least you know they were there at some point and anyway, what could be nicer than a wee drive alongside the Campsies! (Providing it's not pouring with rain of course!!) ;D

Hello
From the IGI at www.familysearch.org.uk it indicates 8 children born to Robert Anderson and Helen Hollywood.
1. Margaret Anderson b. 06 Mar 1851, ch. 28 Mar, Campsie Stirling.
2. William Anderson b. 31 July 1853, ch. 18 Aug 1853, Campsie, Stirling
3. John Hollywood Anderson b. 21 Jan 1856, Campsie
4. Robert Rickerd Anderson b. 19 Apr 1858, Campsie
5. Richard Anderson b. 24 May 1860, Campsie
6. Charles Arthur Munro Anderson b. 23 Aug 1862, Hamilton, Lanark Scotland
7. Margaret Kane Anderson b. 13 Jan 1865, , Hamilton Lanark.
8. Elizabeth Rickard Anderson b. 27 Jul 1867 Hamilton, Lanark
Also from the IGI - an 'extracted record of the marriage, which means a copy of the OPR can be downloaded from the PPV site at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk - min £6.00 spend buys 30 credits which allows for the download of up to 5 bmds/census records.
Helen Hollywood (father John Hollywood), m. Robert Anderson 12 April 1850, Campsie, Stirling.
This is the only marriage for a Helen Hollywood Scotland-wide (on the IGI), 1845 to 1855.
Regards, Steve :)
