Hello. I'd like to get hold of my grandfathers WW2 service records and also to see if he got any medals but I don't know how to go about this. I don't know anything about what he did in the war, only that he was quite old to fight (40ish). He didn't die in the war but i've heard a story that he got shrapnel in his head which was never removed and consequently caused his death in 1953 from an epileptic seizure. Can anyone help?
Thanks

hi Erica
This link is the website you need to send for service records,it will also tell what medals he was due and if they were issued or not.

Thats helpful. Thanks. They seem to require service number and rank though, and I don't know them.
