Hi,
I've found a marriage for Ralph Bone Hartt (my grandfather's nephew-not sure what relation to me!!!), to ? Kirby, in Erpingham, Norfolk, in the June quarter of 1923, but I can't find the corresponding one for Kirby to Hartt (Ref:4b.126). Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Holly

Hi Holly
The marriage cross-refers to Elsie M. KIRBY (see www.freebmd.org.uk).

Hi Holly
If by 'grandfather's nephew' you mean a child of grandfather's brother/sister then
nephew and your mother/father are (first) cousins
nephew and you are first cousins once removed
This was discussed recently on RootsChat and someone posted a link to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin
Aren't you glad you asked? :D

Hi Linda,
Thanks for unravelling that for me. It can get very confusing sometimes! Will have a look at that link when I get a minute.
Cheers,
Holly
