Hi behnybaby :)
Following through with more Jacksons in Carluke :) Did John and Bessie marry in England? There is this possible marriage for them in London:
Marriages 1st Qrt 1890
Bessie Colbourne at St. Geo. H. Sq. 1a 578 and John Jackson also listed on the same page

Likely entry for them after their marriage in London:
John Jackson 24, soldier b. Scotland
Bessie Jackson 24 b. Cranborne, Dorset
Agnes Jackson 9 months b. Westminster, London
RG12; Piece: 81; Folio 12; Page 21
And likely in Carluke by 1901:
Bessie Jackson 34, reservist's wife b. Wiltshire
Agnes Jackson 10 b. London
John Jackson 9 b. London
Prudence Jackson 7 b. Lanarkshire
Ephriam Jackson 6 b. Carluke
Jas Jackson 3 b. Carluke
Walter Jackson 6months b. Carluke
Address: Roadmeetings, Carluke
You probably already have these census entries but it just helps in identifying the family :)
Have you ordered the 1890 marriage cert to confirm fathers' names for John and Bessie?

:) Given the names of Bessie and John's children, this looks a sure bet for Bessie in 1881 with family:
Ephraim Colborne 46, Agricultural Labourer (Carter) b. Damerham, Wiltshire
Prudence Colborne 49 b. Cranborne, Dorset
Frances Colborne 22 b. Damerham, Wiltshire
Emma Colborne 16 b. Cranborne, Dorset
Bessie Colborne 14 b. Cranborne, Dorset
James Colborne 9 b.Cranborne, Dorset
Address: Daggons, Cranborne, Dorset

Good Morning,
You are correct. On all counts. I actually was looking for more info on the band John and his members. My Mom claims that he led the band.
Thank you
Marie

Yes, I do have the Marraige Certificate. and Bessie's death Certificate. They were married in London. Which gives her Mothers maiden name and got me info further back.

Father's names John Jackson mothe Agnes Patterson and Ephraim Colbourne married Prudence Colbourne.

Hi Marie :)
Ah..it's the band members you are after, thought you were after John Jackson's family which by the sounds of it you already have. Hopefully someone will be able to help with that bit!

The John Jackson you refer is my great grandfather. He served in the Scots Guards in the 2nd Boer War. I have his service record. Ephraim was my grandfather. He was in WW1 with his brother. The 2 brothers married 2 sisters. Pls get in touch for more info.
