I believe that Flynn is quite a common surname in Co. Waterford and that's why it's so important to have a location (parish if not actual townland) when trying to research your relatives there- even more so for partes who needs to search for any existing church records as civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages started in 1864.

yes well , its campile, county wexford.

Since you know the location in Co. Wexford you can start searching for sources like church records, civil index (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;t=searchable;c=1408347), 1911 census (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/), etc.

many thanks.

maybe part of this thread should be moved to the correct (Wexford) section ...
partial thread split to the section for Co. Wexford

Camplie town (aka Ballyvelig) is in the DED of Ballyhack and there are a number of Flynn housesholds listed there on the 1911 census : see Flynn households in Campile (http://census.nationalarchives.ie/search/results.jsp?surname=flynn&exact=&firstname=&county=&townland=Ballyvelig&ded=&age=&sex=&relationToHead=&religion=&education=&occupation=&marriageStatus=&marriageYears=&childrenBorn=&childrenLiving=&birthplace=&language=&deafdumb=&search=Search&sort=&pageSize=50)
