Title: Coopers Royal Band
Post by: Ebch on Friday 08 January 10 20:34 GMT (UK)
I've found scant information about this band that I think was around West Yorks/Barnsley 1905ish.  ibew.org.uk tells me the band was still active in 1913 and shows a photo of the band.
Does anyone have any information on it please?

My wife's grandfather was Herbert Goodwin Cooper (1880 - 1937), a professional Cornet Player and a member of Cooper's Royal Band of Barnsley.  I believe the band to have been active from about 1890 to about 1940.  However I am also seeking more information.

Thanks for that, Tramroad.  Would it be easier (and cheaper) for you to scan them in and email them to me?
