Hi there
Can anyone tell me anything about Thomas McCLELAND b. c1792 who married Mary NELSON b. c1793 about 1820?
One or both were born in Mullaghbrack (Mullybrrock, Mullabrack, etc). Thomas' parents were Thomas and Mary (PREBBLE). Thomas (the junior) may have been a military man as his first son was born in Gibraltar in 1821, others in southern Devon and they lived in Guernsey for a time.

Hi Doug
My wife's family McClelland are from Mullaghbrack but I have only traced them back to 1844 so far, James McClelland married to Elizabeth Reid. Do these names feature in any info you may have?.

Colin

More than likely this is not related but my Great, Great Grandmother's second marriage was to a McClelland. She was from Loughgily the other side of Markethill. I only know this as on my great grandfather's second marriage certificate (Scottish certificate) it states his mother's name was McClelland previously Chambers nee McGaw. Doesn't help you any but thought I would share.

Dear Colin
I'm afraid that all I have is Thomas being from Mullaghbrack. I have no siblings or any further information at this time. Thomas' children were all born at Brixham in Devon.
