Hi Chatters,
I'm looking for info on John Riach B.abt 1910 Edinburgh,Scotland.He emigrated to Aus. in the early part of 20th century to Sydney,N.S.W. Married to Elizabeth H Robertson in 1934 at Drummoyne,N.S.W. Died in Sydney,N.S.W.

Hi Delta Foxy,

Departing London 8 Jan 1929 aboard the BORDA. He was ticketed to Sydney.

RIACH John aged 18 Grocer, intended permanent residence in Australia, country of last permanent residence Scotland. Address in UK 173 Dundee Street Edinburgh.

NSW BMDs show only one marriage for a John RIACH - and it fits with the electoral roll information from Kris

1934  RIACH  John =   ROBERTSON  Elizabeth H; reg at  DRUMMOYNE 15977/1934

No death to 1978on NSW BMDS;

Ryerson index has a death notice for:
RIACH Elizabeth died 03SEP2007;  Death notice in Daily Telegraph (Sydney) 08SEP2007

John Riach's parents were Charles Riach 1868 - 1953, Martha Hastie Brodie 1880 -19149.Mar.1902.  They lived in Dundee Street,Edinburgh,Scotland.
