Just putting a link up to your other post on Gordon Whyte www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,425957.0.html
Could this be them in 1901:
Gordon Whyte 27, paper roller b. Aberdeen
Annie Whyte 27 b. Cruden, Aberds
Gordon Whyte 7 b. Slains, Aberds
John A Whyte 2 b. Dyce, Aberds
Robert M Whyte 1 b. Newhills, Aberds
Address: Greenburn, Newhills, Aberdeenshire
Where did you get confirmation of Annie's birth place as Ellon?

Hi Monica,
Marzy Loo amended her post to say Annie married in Ellon. Not sure if she meant she was also born in Ellon?

Hi Monica, thanks for all your help, the info you posted was correct. I had a long session on Scotlands people last night and i managed to find out just about everything i wanted to know about the Whytes and the Cruickshanks going back to the early 1800s.Theres such a lot of info on Scottish birth and marriage certificates, if only English ones were the same.Illegitimacy doesnt seem to have been a problem in those days and you were right about G.K.M.Whyte, he was illigitimate, as was his father and all his fathers other children. If you would like me to post any of the info ive found out ill be happy to. Other surnames connected to the Cruickshanks and Whytes are Hunter and Bean. Thanks again

Really pleased you have managed to make a lot of headway Marzy - always much more fun when you make the discoveries yourself :)

Sound like you are doing great Marzy :) If you have gathered up lots of new info, and it sounds like you have, take time to go through it all and get familiar with it before launching off on other lines....otherwise it can get confusing :D
Monica :)

Hi Marzy,
Could you please tell us who Annie's parents were? I'm wondering if they're connected with some Cruden Cruickshanks my husband has in his tree.
Regards,
