Title: Internet Links sent by Email - not working
Post by: Jean Price on Monday 21 December 09 03:27 GMT (UK)
Hello All,

Had a huge tidy up of computer, and have obviously over done it.
When I receive an internet link by email, eg from Rootschat to say there is a reply, clicking on the link takes me to "Locate Link Browser", and does not go any further.
Obviously have to reload something - but what?
I am using Internet Explorer.
Did have FireFox but deleted that at the time of my clean up.

Any help most gratefully received.
Jean

You've probably got the default set to Firefox, which you've deleted.  You'll have to reset the default to IE.  Can't remember how to do it though, but another Rootschatter (?Downside) will be able to tell you.

Lizzie and Steve,

Thank you for your replies.

Steve, The link you gave me explained it all so clearly.
Like magic, Internet links sent by email are now working again.

Regards
Jean

Glad it helped Jean.

It was a lot easier to post a link than me trying to explain, there is another way to achieve the same thing.

Regards.

I would have deleted IE not FF in my clean up lol but if you open IE it should ask if you want to use it as your default browser.

Thank you for your reply - it is all woking now.

I have tried FF but stayed with IE as it is the one I have used for years, so am used to it.

Thank you
Jean
