Title: Wrexham obit *complete*
Post by: Rah1980 on Saturday 19 December 09 10:29 GMT (UK)
Is there anyway online to look for a Wrexham obit/announcement of death from 1972? If not what is the best way to look for them? I am looking for a Robert Thomas Roberts who I believe died in Wrexham district in 1972. Would really appreciate the help  :)

The local newspaper is the Wrexham Leader.
Copies will be on microfilm at Wrexham Museum for that date.

Hi,

I am looking for an obitury of my Taid who passed away in January 1950 - was the Wrexham Leader around at that time as I am thinking that is where the obitury would have been placed.

Any help would be appreciated

I spoke to a lovely lady at Wrexham Council Local History Office.  They have details of the local newspapers on microfiche and managed to check obits for a date in 1931.  Email Contact details are:  localstudies.wcbcpo.wcbcdom@wrexham.gov.uk

I have found two burials for Robert Roberts but no mention of a middle name.

One was 67 in 1972 and died at the War Memorial Hospital

The other was 78 in 1972 and died at 74 Henblas Road, Rhostyllen
