Title: Does anyone recognize Dorothy (Starling) Stephenson? b. 1903
Post by: etc3495 on Monday 14 December 09 00:54 GMT (UK)
Does anyone recognize this woman?  She was my great grandfathers sister, Dorothy (Dolly) Starling b. 1903.  I would love to hear from anyone who is connected to her.  She married George Andrew Stephenson and lived at 11 Raglan Street, Preston at the time of her death in 1972.  I know she had at least one daughter, (*) because she signed her death certificate.  (*) married an (*) and lived at 41 Ainslie Road in Preston.  Dorothy's family was from Norwich, Norfolk.  Her father was William Starling and her  mother was Elizabeth (Chapman) Starling.  She had 4 brothers: Percy, William, Frederick (my ggrandfather), and Sydney and 2 sisters, Alice (died at age 5) and Ethel b.1900.  If you have any connection to this family, I would love to hear from you!

I posted this on the Norfolk board as well since the family was from there.  I'm not sure if she met her hubby in Norfolk or Lancashire so I thought I would try both places.

Hi, i don't recognize her but might be worth asking on the photo restoration board to touch up and remove the lines/scratches on the picture. They are very good on there.

Hi Migky~

Yes...the wonderful folks at the photo restoration board already fixed her up a while back....and they did a wonderful job!   Since then, I've discovered more infomation about her and was hoping that someone would recognize her or know her family.  Thanks for the suggestion though!
