Title: Italy: Bazzi Family
Post by: PRB on Thursday 10 December 09 21:23 GMT (UK)
My Great Great Grandfather was Enrico Guiseppe Bazzi - I beleive he was born either in Milan or in the Lake Maggiori Area in 1841.  He married a Mary Negus in 25/08/1883 in Paddington and they had 4 children all born in the UK.

I would like to find out more details of his ancestry He died in 17/9/1905 in the French Hospital in London but no clue as to where he is buried.

I have details of his wifes and childrens deaths and Burials

He was a hotelier in London but at each Census in 1891 and 1901 he is living at a different address to his wife and children - why?

Can anyone let me know where to start? I would like to find details of his anscestry abroad in Italy[possibly Switzerland]. Also when and why he came to the UK

HELP

1891 appears to show him with wife Mary if I have the right entry - occ hotel waiter

1901 shows him living alone but Mary shows herself as "wife of butler" so perhaps they were only apart because of his job
