Hi one and all
I have two questions. Can any one help I can't find anything about the Sheldon family from Curbar. My 4 * gt gd mother was Jane Sheldon and according to the 1851 census she was born in 1781 from Curbar. I haven't managed to find anything about this family.
My second question still comes as a consequence of the 1851 census her occupation is listed as school mistress. Which school could this be I assume it was in Eyam as she is shown as living in Townend Eyam?
Hope some one can help

Hi
I'm having problems finding the 1851 entry you mention (there is a problem with Ancestry re: 1851 at the moment)
Was there anybody else in the household in 1851?
Can't find an 1841 entry either
Can you supply the 1851 reference - HO107 piece number folio page

I think Sheldon must be maiden name. Jane Bradshaw widow, fits the other details.
